Road work on Maple Avenue has been ongoing for the past few days between Country Club Drive and Balls Lane, in front of Genesis Hospital.

The right lane traveling southbound on Maple is blocked off due to work by Columbia Gas of Ohio. CGO is working to connect a new service line to the main lines located on the hospital’s side of the street, Media Relations Officer Dave Rau said.

The new service line is for the Panda Express restaurant that’s under construction on the opposite side of the road.

Work is anticipated to be done by the end of the day Thursday, traffic permitting.

Rau said the hole will be cold patched as a temporary fill for the hole on Maple, and a permanent repaving will be done in the near future.
