South Zanesville council member resigns
August 6, 2018
During Monday night’s South Zanesville Village Council meeting, Mayor Jim Perdue read the formal resignation letter of council member Michael Rupe.
Perdue said Rupe’s resignation was effective immediately due to Rupe’s health.
Rupe was not present during the meeting.
According to Perdue, the village now has 30 days to appoint a new council person to take Rupe’s place.
During the public section of the meeting, South Zanesville resident Ashley Ferrell expressed her interest in filling the position.

I believe Ashley Ferrell would be an asset to South Zanesville’s Council. She is intelligent, articulate and would represent the best interest of the people of the community where she was born and raised.
