Lorena rides expected to resume Friday

Repairs have been made to the Lorena Sternwheeler following a small fire, and According to Captain William Page III, the the boat is expected to be back in service Friday.
At the end of a daycare field trip on Tuesday, an exhaust fire broke out in the engine room of the Lorena as it was heading in to dock.
Lorena staff and Zanesville firefighters were able to quickly put out the flames.
The eight children and three adults on board safely evacuated the boat.
Page said the biggest challenge following the fire was cleaning up the mess of dust particles.
The Lorena Sternwheeler was built in 1949 and offers daily cruises open to the public.
