Man arrested for aggravated murder in stabbing case

Police have arrested a stabbing suspect after a man was killed Monday night on Putnam avenue.
Dannie Devoll Jr. has been arrested and charged with aggravated murder and two counts of tampering with evidence in the case.
Devoll, 28, is alleged to have injured Eric Stevens, 29, on Monday night. Police were called to the scene at approximately 10:21 p.m. Stevens was then taken to the Genesis Hospital by ambulance.
Stevens’ last known address was in Marietta, but he was considered “homeless” by police at the time he was killed.
Devoll is being held in Zanesville City Jail and is set to appear in Zanesville Municipal Court on July 6 at 9 a.m.
