The American Red Cross is hosting a blood drive on July 9 at Cambridge High School and offering a free general admission ticket to Cedar Point or Kings Island to all scheduled donors.

The Red Cross is at a “critical stage of available blood supply,” Red Cross account representative Brian Williams said.

The free admission ticket can be used at either amusement park location. Donors must have a scheduled appointment in order to receive their admission ticket. Prospective donors can schedule an appointment by visiting redcrossblood.org or by calling 1-800-733-2767.

On the Red Cross homepage, search for the Cambridge High School Blood Drive by entering in the zip code 43725 and selecting the July 9 listing.

The blood drive is from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and appointments are available in 15-minute slots from 12:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. Walk-ins will also be excepted but those donors are not guaranteed the donation incentive.
