DeWine issues statewide curfew
November 17, 2020
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced Tuesday afternoon that he is issuing a statewide curfew that will take place later this week.
This comes after his evening address last Wednesday where he expanded the conditions in which a mask must be worn across the state.
DeWine’s curfew will begin Thursday evening at 10 p.m. and last a total of three weeks, with the governor saying he will reevaluate the order’s effectiveness at a later date.
That order closes all retail establishments daily between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
DeWine cited the exponential increase in COVID-19 cases within the previous two weeks as a necessity of issuing the order.
