The Muskingum Valley Park District is offering a new way for families to get out of the house and get to know their local parks this summer with a scavenger hunt.

Participants can pick up the clues at the Welcome Center located downtown at 205 North 5th street and head out to the parks from there.

The scavenger hunt challenges participants to answer questions about each park, including its trails, plants, wildlife, history and other related trivia.

Those who complete the entire scavenger hunt can turn their forms back in to the Welcome Center for a chance to win a new bike and other prizes.
