A family is displaced following a fire along Dutch Hill Road in Cass Township early Tuesday morning.
According to Dresden Fire Chief Harold Wolford, one of the residents told him that the fire started with a space heater in their living room and they heard a loud pop and noticed fire going up the wall.
No one at the home had a phone, and one of the occupants had to travel to Dresden to get help.
Chief Wolford said the building is a complete loss and belives the family didn’t have renters insurance.
The Red Cross was able to connect with the family and provide assistance.
The Dresden Fire Department was assisted by the Frazeysburg, Falls, and Licking fire departments, as well as Value Care Ambulance, however, no one was transported from the scene by squad.

The residents did not have to walk to town this is an untrue statement. I would suggest you not go by third or fourth person sources.
