Multiple crashes Tuesday afternoon have restricted motorists along Interstate 70 between Gratiot and Zanesville.

According to a dispatcher with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a crash along the roadway near mile marker 146 eastbound closed interstate traffic for a short period of time and traffic was diverted off the interstate.

Two other crashes were reported around the same time along the same portion of the interstate west of Zanesville.

One lane of traffic is now reopened as crews are working to clear off the roadway of any remaining debris.
