Tornado siren testing resumes Wednesday

Routine testing of tornado sirens returns to Muskingum County Wednesday.

At noon, the Emergency Management Agency will briefly set off the sirens.

According to EMA Director Jeff Jadwin, the first test of the system was canceled this spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“But as it slows some we need for our Citizens to remember what the sirens sound like when they are activated,” wrote Jadwin in an email.
