Zane State College follows suit suspending on-campus classes until further notice
March 10, 2020
Like other area universities, Zane State College is following the recommendation of Governor Mike DeWine to suspend on-campus classes.
According to a statement from President Chad Brown, Zane State will be transitioning its face-to-face classes to online learning where possible, including lecture courses, until further notice.
Students will receive more information regarding class format in the coming week.
Regularly scheduled online classes will continue as normal.
The college encourages students to maintain their coursework by monitoring their campus email and checking Blackboard.
While classes are suspended on-campus, college employees including faculty, adjunct faculty, staff and student workers are to report to campus as usual.
Similarly, one-on-one advising and appointments of that nature will remain available.
Large group events at Zane State College have been canceled through April 12 to reduce exposure to the Coronavirus.
Additionally, all college-sponsored international and out-of-state travel has been suspended until further notice. Travel within Ohio must be approved by the college Chief Financial Officer.
Any students or employees returning from international travel or cruises are encouraged to be screened by a health professional upon return.
