Secrest to host Ukrainian orchestra

An eastern European symphony Orchestra is doing their second United States tour and Zanesville is on their tour schedule.
The National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine is scheduled to play at Secrest Auditorium, 334 Shinnick St., on Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. Doors for the event open at 6:30 p.m.
This is the second time The National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine will perform in Zanesville. Previously, The Zanesville Concert Association invited the orchestra to perform during the 78th concert season.
According to a Zanesville Concert Association press release, the Association is a 501(c)(3) that brings in “world class” artists. Students of all ages, including college students with a current I.D., will receive free admission.
The National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine will feature pianist Volodymyr Vynnytsky performing the Saint Saens Piano Concerto No. 2, while the orchestra will feature Brahms Symphony No. 3.
