Police searching for man in bank robbery

Around 4:30 p.m. Friday a white male entered Chase Bank in Downtown Zanesville and demanded money from the teller inside.

The man handed the teller a note advising that he had a weapon, Zanesville Police Chief Tony Coury said.

“He demanded money,” Coury added.

The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of money before he left the bank, located at 434 Main St.

The man was last seen crossing Main Street near Fifth Street.

Police are advising that the man could be armed and dangerous at this time.
