Boil advisory on south side of City lifted

As of noon Wednesday the boil advisory affecting the south side of the City of Zanesville has been lifted.

The boil advisory was the result of a water main break that occurred Monday around 7 a.m. at Baker Street and Carey Street.

Water samples were collected from the area and sent to Columbus for testing. The boil advisory was a precautionary measure until those results were returned to the local water department.

Affected areas included:

  • Westwood Drive
    Walnut Drive
    National Way
    June Parkway
    Federal Ave.
    Clay Street
    Chester Street
    Race Street
    Arch Street
    Maysville Pike from Spence Ave South to Clay Street
    Baker Street – Including Cook Manor
    Pine Street including all side streets from Maysville Avenue north to Shelby Street
