Northpointe Drive between Powelson Drive and Main Street in Dresden is now open after being closed for a span of 85 days.

The road closed on Aug. 5 for major repairs.

According to Matt Russell of the Muskingum County Engineer’s Office, the project essentially rebuilt the roadway from its base 22 inches below the surface due to poor soil causing bumps in the road.

Once the subgrade was rebuilt, the road was paved and reopened the morning of Oct. 31.

Russell said raised pavement markers still need to be put in place, which will cause for some delays but won’t shut the road down.
