City sets leaf collection dates
October 17, 2019
The 2019 leaf collection season begins next month in the City of Zanesville.
Starting Nov. 12 and running through Dec. 20, the City will be picking up raked leaves from yards throughout Zanesville.
Residents who wish to participate in the removal program should leave their leaves near the edge of the street but not on the roadway. For neighborhoods with sidewalks, leaves should be left in the area between the street and the sidewalk.
On collection dates, participants are advised not to park their cars in front of the leaves they wish to have collected. Piles near vehicles will not be collected and will become the owner’s responsibility to dispose of the leaves.
The City of Zanesville reminds residents that collections are for leaves only. No other items, including dirt or tree limbs, will be removed.
Collection dates are as follows:
- Nov. 12 through Nov. 15, Wards 5 and 6
- Nov. 18 through Nov. 22, Wards 3 and 4
- Nov. 25 through Nov. 27, Wards 1 and 2
- Dec. 2 through Dec. 6, Wards 3 and 4
- Dec. 9 through Dec. 13, Wards 5 and 6
