A man’s body was discovered Sunday morning in an area around Dillon State Park, reports Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz.

Robert Andrew Marshall, the deceased, 44-years-old, was reported missing earlier that same morning by family.

Lutz said the family reported Marshall missing at around 6:30 a.m. Sunday, by 9:30 a.m. law enforcement had discovered his body nearby Dillon State Park.

“No other information is being released at this time pending the investigation and autopsy reports,” Lutz added.

That includes whether or not deputies believe the death was suspicious in nature.

Lutz added that he was concerned about those posting ‘rumors’ online that not only contained misinformation but hinder their investigation.

“Those on social media that post non-factual information really do hinder our investigations and should really refrain from posting things without the knowledge of what is true and what isn’t,” wrote Lutz who added that no body was found ‘in any dumpsters or near any motels.’ “Those reading anything on social media should take into consideration the source of the information you are reading and the probability of whether it is true or not.”
