School employee charged in alleged sexual battery case involving student

A Zanesville City School employee has been arrested on sexual battery charges involving a juvenile student after allegations were made to a school resource officer on Monday.

According to a release from Zanesville Police Chief Tony Coury, detectives investigated the allegations with the assistance of Muskingum County Children’s Services and Nationwide Hospital.

Charges have been filed through the county prosecutor’s office on Michael S. Law of Zanesville.

He is charged with two third-degree felony counts of sexual battery.

Currently Law is being held in the Zanesville City Jail on $100,000 bond.

No further information has been released at this time.
