Businesses to feature Muskingum County jobs at annual Job Fair

By Jessica Johnston, Assistant News Director

The annual Chamber of Commerce Job Fair is Oct. 23 at Colony Square Mall.

The job fair – presented by Ohio Means Jobs, the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce, WHIZ Media Group and WYBZ 107.3 Radio – currently has 37 businesses signed up for the event.

Companies range from local businesses to large corporations. The positions available also range from entry-level to higher qualification-requirement positions.

Some businesses include Spectrum, Coconis, Zimba, Rooster’s and many more.

The presenters host the event every October to help connect Muskingum County residents with Muskingum County jobs.

“We do see the need,” Ashley Umstott, the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce Membership Services Specialist, said. “So many businesses have open positions.”

The event is from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Chamber is still accepting company sign-ups. Businesses should contact Ashley Umstott to register for the event at aumstott@zmchamber.com. It is required that the positions featured at the job fair be located in Muskingum County.
