AEP customers south of Downtown scheduled to lose power overnight

By Christine Holmes, News Director

Zanesville AEP customers who live in the area of Hughes Street near downtown can expect to lose power briefly overnight.

According to an AEP media representative, the electric company will be cutting power to residents for about 5-10 minutes at 2:30 Thursday morning.

During that time, the power load will be shifted so maintenance work can be done at the nearby substation.

According to AEP, the outage is scheduled for the middle of the night to reduce the impact it may have on customers during the day.
