VA Clinic closed due to flooding
August 22, 2018
The Zanesville Clinic is currently closed due to flooding that affected a large portion of the clinic.
Over the weekend, a water heater broke in the facility causing flooding that damaged parts of the building.
The space the VA uses for the clinic is a leased space. The VA is working with the building owner to assess the damages and get repairs in place.
The carpeting in the facility will likely need to be replaced and potentially some drywall in, Carl Higginbotham, VA Public Affairs Officer, said.
It is unclear when the clinic will reopen, but Higginbotham said it will not be this week.
Patients that have primary care appointments for this week are being referred to the Newark VA Clinic to fulfill their appointments. Specialty and behavioral healthcare patients are being referred to Columbus VA clinics for their appointments. Some behavioral healthcare appointments may be completed via phone.
The Zanesville VA Clinic patients with questions can call the Columbus contact center at 614.257.5200.
