Search for missing minor underway along Muskingum River

A large number of first responders are patrolling the Muskingum River Saturday evening.

Scanner traffic combined with information from witnesses on scene appears to indicate the search is for a minor child.

Dispatch tones and the broadcast notifications to area first responders puts the first request for assistance around 8 p.m. Saturday.

There are multiple conflicting reports as to where the child is believed to have gone in the river.

From what Y-City News can gather, it appears to have happened just south of the village of Dresden.

As of publication time it appears the search is still underway.
