Woman injured during Putnam crash
October 4, 2019
Traffic is once again flowing on Putnam Avenue after a woman was taken to the hospital when her car was struck by an oncoming vehicle Friday evening.
According to officers from the Zanesville Police Department, a woman driving a white Ford Explorer south on Putnam Avenue went through a red light when the large vehicle in front of her obstructed her view of the traffic signal.
Another woman driving a red Pontiac G6 was hit while turning onto Putnam Avenue from Pierce Street.
She was taken to Genesis hospital for her injuries, but police say she was alert and talking at the scene.
The driver of the Ford Explorer was cited in the crash.
Both the Zanesville police and fire departments were on scene.

People run red lights, and DO NOT USE their turn signals, then wonder why they get into an accident!!! NO RESPECT ANYMORE on the streets, for the other drivers!!
