Camper catches fire in Fink’s RV garage
July 3, 2019
A camper being serviced at Fink’s RV Center caught fire while in the garage Wednesday morning.
Shortly before 8 a.m., a passerby notified emergency responders of the fire, Lieutenant Wesley Kelly of the Newton Township Fire Department said.
According to Kelly, employees had not made it into work at the time of the fire.
The camper was pulled from the garage, but not before it sustained significant damage, resulting in a total loss.
Kelly said some of the structural components of the garage caught fire including the garage door and some of the ceiling, but no major damage was done.
Also responding were the South Zanesville and Falls Township fire departments, as well as Genesis Community Ambulance.
No one was injured in the fire.
The cause remains under investigation.
