Multiple individuals were arrested Thursday following reports of an armed robbery, which remains under investigation.
Brighton Boulevard was temporarily closed while law enforcement safety handled the situation.
According to local residents, while at a local store, a man asked a fellow customer if she would buy him a drink, which she did.
When she went to pay, he noticed she had a sizable amount of cash, which was allegedly her tax refund money, and he pistol-whipped her and stole the money.
She is said to have attempted to stop him with her vehicle and also followed him to a residence along Brighton Boulevard.
The situation was reported to law enforcement and they surrounded the home.
After the occupants were taken out of the residence, it was discovered that multiple of them had outstanding warrants for their arrest, law enforcement on the scene told Y-City News.
Officers said they couldn’t release any more information, nor comment on the details of the robbery, but stated that the incident was under investigation.
The robbery was reported to law enforcement at around 12:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
