A Zanesville basketball star who played in the NBA for over a decade has sold his local residence, a home he has held since midway through his professional career.
The 6,000-square-foot estate sold for just over $1.5 million. It features a swimming pool, basketball court and impressive display room for valuable shoes.
According to Muskingum County Auditor records, the home located along Fairview Road, north of Zanesville, was sold at the end of August.
The Columbus Dispatch reported in May that Zanesville native Kevin Martin was selling both his million-dollar homes in New Albany and in Zanesville.
With small children, the couple says they plan to remain in New Albany to raise their two daughters. They also have a home in Florida.
The New Albany home sold first, for $3.6 million this summer to Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Zach Wereski.
That home featured five bedrooms and seven bathrooms over nearly 9,000 square feet.
The Zanesville estate sat on nearly 18 acres of land in the West Muskingum Local School District.
It featured a primary bedroom that overlooked the pool area, a walk-in shower, jacuzzi tub, his and her sinks and two walk-in custom designed closets.
With three additional bedrooms, a great room with vaulted ceilings and a gourmet kitchen, the residence stood out among homes in Zanesville.
It sold at the end of August for $1,545,000 – it was listed by Carol Goff & Associates.
Photos of the estate and interior of the home are available on Redfin.
