Larry Householder, the former local representative in the Ohio House and Speaker of the same chamber, has been moved to federal prison where he will begin serving his imposed 20-year prison sentence.
Householder was indicted by a federal grand jury, in the Southern District of Ohio, in 2020 and subsequently lost his case at trial earlier this year. He was charged for his part in the House Bill 6 scandal, which gave taxpayer subsides to both coal and nuclear electric generating facilities. He used bribe money to pay for everything from credit card payments to a vacation home in Florida.
According to the Bureau of Prisons website, Householder, registration number 79002-061, is at FTC Oklahoma City, a federal transfer center. His final destination is not publicly known.
