The Zanesville fire department is continuing to flush fire hydrants within the city limits on Monday.

From 7:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., those who live downtown in the area of Main Street heading south to Canal Street and from Underwood Street to the river, as well as any nearby side streets, will be impacted.

Residents may find their water to be discolored and low in pressure during that time frame.

Assistant Chief Doug Hobson advises waiting to do laundry until after 4 p.m. so the water has time to clear.
