A motorcyclist has died after crashing his bike on Raiders Road near Trinway Monday afternoon.

According to Sgt. Rocky Hise of the Ohio State Highway Patrol Cambridge Post, another trooper saw the biker speeding and attempted to pull him over. However, the man took off and couldn’t be caught.

Later, while still patrolling the same area, the same trooper came across the motorcycle and again attempted to make a stop. The motorcyclist once again sped away from the trooper.

“He was driving at an extremely high rate of speed, went through some intersections without stopping,” said Hise.

At that point, Hise said the trooper decided it was best to stop pursuing the subject out of safety concerns.

According to Hise, the trooper remained in the area in case the driver lost control.

The trooper later found the motorcyclist crashed at the intersection of Raiders Road and N. Dresden Road.

The man, whose name and age are not being released at this time, was in serious condition before being taken to the hospital.
