Transitions warns of scam

Police in Zanesville have been notified of a scam involving a local organization.
Transitions, Inc. is warning the community not to donate to anyone claiming to be collecting money on behalf of the domestic violence shelter.
According to Mitzi Shook, Executive Director of Transitions Inc., a pair of women not affiliated with Transitions were reported asking for money last week for the shelter.
Shook said Transitions never solicits for donations.

The OSU Alumni Club of Muskingum County is currently conducting a service project to benefit Transitions, Inc. Donations of items such as toilet paper, paper towels, canned and boxed foods, bath towels, and cash may be brought to the Zanesville City Schools Administration Center at 956 Moxahala Ave Tuesday, April 30 until 4pm.
