An accident involving three semi-trucks has left a portion of Interstate 70 closed early Monday.

Westbound traffic between the Airport Road and Adamsville exits is currently restricted in both lanes, according to Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency Director Jeff Jadwin.

Drivers are being diverted to U.S. 40.

Jadwin said one of the semi trucks involved is rolled over as a result of the accident.

Emergency responders were first called to the scene around 3 a.m.
