Woman hit by car on Shinnick Street

A woman was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Fifth Street and Shinnick Street outside of the John McIntire Library Monday.
The driver of a red Toyota RAV4 stuck the woman as she was crossing Shinnick Street just before 12 p.m.
The pedestrian was taken to Genesis Hospital by Community Ambulance. Her condition is currently unknown, Lieutenant Chris Rice of the Zanesville Police Department said.
The driver of the Toyota, along with one witness, were interviewed by ZPD and the investigation is ongoing.
The Zanesville Police and Fire Departments were on the scene, as well as Community Ambulance.
Shinnick Street between Fifth and Sixth Streets will be closed until after 1 p.m.

I cant believe they hit and paralyzed my daughters grandma. I pray they learned to watch where they are going an not just paying attention to other objects what if this was a child or if she had a child with her sometimes she likes to take her grandkids my daughter for walks with her these people in cars need to slow down take care and watch out for others. Everyone has a family and she has one too what if it was them
