Deadline for high school tech workshop at Zane State Wednesday
October 9, 2018
AT&T is teaming up with colleges in Ohio to teach high school students computer science and coding skills.
Students in 9-12 grade can apply by Wednesday to participate in the program at Zane State College on Friday, Nov. 16 from 6 – 9 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
During the 2018 TECHCORPShack, sponsored by AT&T TECH CORPS, students will learn about mobile app development using MIT App Inventor as a tool to create an app of their own aimed at tackling a real-world issue.
Students will work alongside peers, technology professionals and community advocates throughout the program.
Winning team members in each region (Columbus, Dayton and Zanesville) will earn a spot in the final competition held in Columbus in December for a chance to win $500.
