In celebration of The Wolf’s 70th anniversary of operation, the radio station has expanded into Perry County.

The Wolf, which is “Everything Country,” has been operational in both Lancaster and Logan at 104.5 FM and 99.3 FM, respectfully. Country music listeners can now tune into the Perry County expansion at 102.9 FM.

“We are thrilled to be adding Perry County to our FM listening area,” Mark Bohach, Co-Owner and Operations Manager of The Wolf, said in a media release. “By putting the FM Transmitter in the heart of the county, we reach the highest number of people with a City Grade signal.”

While the station will serve most of Perry County, the FM signal will be strongest in the area of New Lexington.

The Wolf is locally programmed and uses local DJs most of the day, according to the release.

“Our goal is to be a good community partner,” Bohach said in the release. “We operate a full service radio station that takes pride in providing local community coverage.”

The locally owned and operated radio station appeals to a wide range of country music lovers by playing the latest country hits, classic country and everything in between. Some of the hits go back as far as 60 years, the release states.

“You’ll hear the Icons like Garth Brooks and George Strait along with the latest from Eric Church and Carrie Underwood,” Bohach said. “We even go way back for the all-time greats like Merle Haggard and Glen Campbell.”
