Thursday, July 26:

  • Pieces of California Potter Sascha Brastoff and Fenton Topaz Glass Display hosted in the lobby of John McIntire Library from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • 73rd Ohio Annual Exhibition at Zanesville Museum of Art from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The exhibition is celebrating the museum’s commitment to recognizing and promoting some of Ohio’s finest artists and artisans.
  • The Character of Mexico 1959-1960: Works by Dr. Charles Dietz at Zanesville Museum of Art from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Linn Auditorium. Dr. Charles Dietz was the Director of the Zanesville Art Institute from 1954-1995. He took time off to dedicate to his own painting from 1959 – 1960.
  • More Basics of 3-D Printing at the John McIntire Public Library from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. The free class is for both teenagers and adults. It introduces participants to the basics of 3-D printing. For more information or to register call 740.453.0391, ext. 150.
  • Community Brainstorming Wrap-Up Event and Library Roundtable at the John McIntire Public Library from 6 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. This is a follow-up to the brainstorming event that was held at the library back in February. For more information call 740.453.0391, ext. 121.

Friday, July 27:

  • Lorena Sternwheeler Lunch Cruise at Zane’s Landing Park from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. A boxed lunched is provided while attendees enjoy a cruise down the river. It costs $15 per person and reservations are required 48 hours in advance. To make a reservation call 740.455.8282.
  • Lorena Sternwheeler Public Rides from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Zane’s Landing Park. The sternwheeler travels up the Muskingum River Trail. No reservations are required but guests are asked to arrive 20 minutes before they plan to ride. Seniors ride for $7, adults ride for $8 and children ride for $4.
  • The Wilds Sunset Safari Tour at 4:30 p.m. Guests enjoy a buffet-style dinner before boarding a safari vehicle to see the animals up close in their open-range habitats. The tour includes a behind-the-scenes viewing of the property. It’s $75 per person or $70 per person for members. Make your reservation here.
  • Music and Dinner on the Patio at Bryan Place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. For more information about the event, call 740.450.8008.
  • Seussical Play hosted and put on by the Zanesville Community Theatre from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The musical is directed by Jillian B. Von Gunten and musically directed by Sheryl Wise.
  • Coal Fired Bicycle LIVE hosted at Weasel Boy from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. The Coal Fired Bicycle is an Alternative Country band out of Columbus.
  • Sons of Maverick live at the Smiling Goat Saloon starting at 8 p.m.
  • Civil War Reenactment on the Mighty Muskingum at Zane’s Landing Park from 9:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Travel down the river on the Lorena Sternwheeler while entering in the night fire battle with stationed troops at Riverside Park. Tickets, which are $15, can be purchased at the Zanesville-Muskingum Welcome Center.

Saturday, July 28:

  • Zanesville Farmer’s Market from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Fairgrounds on Pershing Road.
  • Pieces of California Potter Sascha Brastoff and Fenton Topaz Glass Display hosted in the lobby of John McIntire Library from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Car Show at The Oaks at Northpointe from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is free to the community and welcoming of all types and ages of cars. There will be food, drinks, prizes and a flat screen TV giveaway.

  • Hobo Camp Event at the Zanesville and Western Scenic Railroad from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Grab a ride on a train to the camp to experience life as a hobo. The event offers a campfire and “hot dogsand beans,” according to the visit Zanesville website. Tickets are $8 for adults, children are $5 and 5 years and under are free.
  • Adoption Event at Pet Valu from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The Animal Shelter is hosting an adoption event at Pet Valu to showcase four-legged friends that are looking for loving homes.
  • Bloomfield Presbyterian Church Bicentennial Celebration at Bloomfield Presbyterian Church in New Concord from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Matt Frampton Live at Y-Bridge Brewing Company from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Zach Attack Live at the Smiling Goat starting at 8 p.m. It’s throwback night as the band of Zach’s is taking it back to R&B, Rock, Hip Hop, Pop and Alternative music and dance. Tickets are available at zachattack.com.
  • Tin Pan Alley Fan Appreciation Night at The Angry Bull Saloon from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. There will be giveaways, gift certificates and autographed merchandise.
  • KING live at Just 1 More Bar and Grill from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. KING is putting emphasis on an 80s Rock Scene for the event.
  • Summer Drive-In “I Can Only Imagine” at Faith United Methodist Church beginning at 9 p.m. It’s a free movie, food and snow cones. Food will be served starting at 9 p.m. and the movie will start once it gets dark enough.

Sunday, July 29:

  • Christmas in July and Baby Day Celebration at Grace United Methodist from 8:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Christmas Carols will be sung and children under 5 years-old will be celebrated.
  • Bloomfield Presbyterian Church Bicentennial Celebration at Bloomfield Presbyterian Church in New Concord from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Developing Drawing Skills with Nora Daniel at The Old Quarter from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The guided drawing class is $50 per person with scholarships available. Contact Nora Painter at norapainter@yahoo.com or 740.607.8377 to make a reservation or for more information.

  • Conflict and Compromise: Muskingum County’s National History Day Presentation at The Stone Academy from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Maysville High School is set to present award-winning History Day Projects. Participants will also tell about their experiences from Washington D.C. at the national competition. For more information call 740.454.9500.
  • Seussical Play hosted and put on by the Zanesville Community Theatre from 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. The musical is directed by Jillian B. Von Gunten and musically directed by Sheryl Wise.
  • Zanesville Memorial Concert Band’s free concert from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Zane’s Landing Park. If it rains, the concert location will be moved to Secrest Auditorium. The event is free and family-friendly. Bring your own lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy the entertainment.
