A Zanesville woman faces several charges after allegedly running off the road and crashing into a utility pole with a 6 year-old in her car last week, according to police reports and municipal court records filed the day of the crash.

The 25-year old driver was turning onto Lee Street off Old Newark Road when she took the turn a little too wide and crashed into the pole around 12:30 a.m. June 13, a report sketch indicates.

A 6 year-old backseat passenger was taken to Genesis Hospital for possible injuries.

A 36 year-old man was also in the car at the time.

According to the police report, the driver tested for alcohol levels at more than twice the legal limit.

She is charged with OVI, child endangerment and failure to control.

The driver entered not guilty pleas to child endangerment and OVI during her arraignment last week.

A hearing date is scheduled for July 12 in Zanesville Municipal Court.
