Early Thursday morning a storm moving through the area took out power in one Zanesville neighborhood and a tree along with it.

Around 1 a.m. the Zanesville City Dispatch Center received a call of a reported power outage in the area of Putnam along Woodlawn Avenue.

When officers and firefighters arrived they determined the cause of the power outage was due to a fallen tree which landed on a parked car.

A portion of Woodlawn Avenue between Jefferson Street and Madison Street is currently closed as American Electric Power (AEP) and the City of Zanesville Street Department work to restore power and remove the tree.

AEP currently has a restoration time of 6 a.m.
