After becoming disabled on the railroad tracks near Basin Road south of SR 16, a car was hit by an oncoming train Tuesday morning. 

The crash happened before 6 a.m.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the occupant of the vehicle found in the driver’s seat was taken to Genesis Hospital. 

OSP is unable to disclose more details at this time. 

The incident is under investigation.
