One man was taken to the hospital for injuries sustained during a traffic accident on SR 93 in Newton Township Tuesday afternoon. 

According to Trooper Russ McDonald with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the driver of a black Ford Ranger was driving southbound when he went left of center and side-swept an oncoming truck. 

The driver of the truck, a roll-off container truck for Sidwell Materials, was not injured. 

A crash reconstructionist was on scene as OSP continues to investigate. 

Also on scene was the Newton Township Fire Department, South Zanesville Fire Department, ODOT and the Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency.
