Lepi & Associates and Zane State College teamed up to host a car wash and bake sale to help raise money for the Brenda Hoffman Memorial Scholarship.

According to Megan Jones, Recruitment Coordinator for Zane State College, the scholarship, which the fundraiser will help fund, is available to all Zane State students, but priority will be given to those studying physical therapy.

Hoffman was a Zane State College Physical Therapist Assistant Alumna and worked as a physical therapist assistant with the Genesis Healthcare System.

Brad Hollingsworth, a friend of Hoffman’s that had the idea for the endowed scholarship, went to Lepi a few weeks ago looking to raise money for the scholarship, according to Roderick Gibson, Director of Marketing for Lepi & Associates.

“Brenda and Brad were very close friends, and he is competing in the Ironman Florida in her honor and to raise funds for the scholarship,” said Gibson.

Hollingsworth is working to raise money leading up to the Ironman Florida, which he will be competing in on Nov. 2. He has a goal of raising $20,000 for the scholarship as he trains for the 140.6 mile race.

The car wash and bake sale is Friday, June 28 until 7 p.m.
