After spending the week on Muskingum University’s campus studying and rehearsing, the students of the 2019 Summer High School Music Theatre CAMP are ready to show off their hard work with a free performance Saturday afternoon. 

More than 30 students from 15 high schools will be featured in the performance beginning at 2:30 p.m. in the University’s theatre located in Caldwell Hall. 

Under the instruction of CAMP director Carol Wilcox Jones, campers received a week of musical training, which included daily dance classes, private voice instruction, acting sessions with improvisation, master classes and scene study. But it wasn’t all work and no play. The students were treated to fun in the evenings with activities such as square dancing, swimming and movie musicals. 

Assisting Wilcox Jones were co-directors Todd Schreiber of Whiteford Schools in Michigan, Amy Leacock of Upper Arlington Schools in Ohio, Belinda Andrews-Smith of Denison University and Robert O. Jones, Muskingum University emeritus music professor.
