The Animal Shelter Society Inc. is kicking off the season with its annual Paws & Claws Summer Jam this Saturday from noon until 5 p.m.

The family-friendly event is open to all, including four-legged friends, at the Muskingum Family YMCA.

Those who attend are advised to park and enter from OUZ.

There will be plenty of activities for kids and dogs, food trucks, vendors and a chinese auction.

Additionally, microchipping is available for $15 and nail trimming for dogs at no cost.

Pets will be available for adoption on site.

All donations will benefit The Animal Shelter Society Inc.

For those who bring their dogs, the shelter requests they be well-mannered and up to date on vaccinations.
